Description
After studying industrial design at Zürich University of the Arts, Sebastián Marbacher founded his namesake Swiss design studio in 2013. With an emphasis on using natural materials, the studio designs minimalist and practical products, furniture and spaces that are rooted in a sense of place. Monocle’s in-house design team took inspiration from Sebastian Marbacher’s Salz Pfeffermühle series of wooden grinders, when designing this salt and pepper grinder in collaboration with the studio. Made entirely in Switzerland from certified domestic ash and with a high-quality mill from Strässler, it’s a contemporary twist on a classic look.
